Live performance of Christoph Pagel (Christo P) on Nov 19th, 2009. Christoph describes the whole Piano Dreams project as being influenced by the feelings and vibrations of the current times. The album consists of 10 composed tracks and 9 tracks that were live improvisations, 3 of which include Pawel Cofta.
Pagel's very vivid album in the Piano Dreams series, enveloping a variety of styles and colors, including the warmth of cello, and tasteful percussion. This album was professionally recorded live in two separate sessions at Artloft Berlin and was nominated by Enlightened Piano Radio as Best Piano Driven Jazz Album in 2016.
Recorded in Alamosa, Colorado at Howlin' Dog Studios, this uplifting collection of compositions features Matthew Schildt on piano, Don Richmond on guitars and mandolin, Kyrstyn Pixton on wordless vocals, Stephen Brannen on electric guitar, Michael Jude on bass, John Michel on drums, and James Doyle on percussion. Melodic, expressive, and uplifting, the compositions range from pastoral and acoustic to energetic and soaring works with jazz and indie-rock influence.
"Safe In Your Arms" is the long-awaited new release by pianist/composer Scott Cossu. One of the founders of the new age music genre (giving it a jazz and world music influence) and one of the first artists to join the Windham Hill roster of artists, Cossu has had a long and varied career. It is interesting to note that early on, George Winston opened for Scott in concert and the two toured and performed together for several years. The music on Safe In Your Arms is a combination of new compositions and newly re-recorded pieces from older albums that have gone out of print.
