Orenda

Orenda is a project of Benjamin Jackson (aka The Great Northern) and Kendra Chantelle

Benjamin Jackson

Ben Jackson is a Nashville-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and session musician. As a producer, Ben has number 1 albums in both the Rock and Country genres, from Sister Hazel’s “Fire” and “Wind” albums. He can be found working alongside Singer/Songwriters, Americana, Pop, and Country/Rock artists.

As a composer, Ben has contributed to films, television shows, and advertisements with original compositions. In 2019 Ben founded “TheGreat Northern,” an instrumental music project consisting of original compositions, whose first album “Nocturnes” heavily explores the soundscapes of analog synthesizers in conjunction with organic instrumentation.

Ben has produced, recorded, and toured with many top recording artists and bands including Sister Hazel, Keith Kane (Vertical Horizon), Meghan Linsey (The Voice/Steel Magnolia), Shannon LaBrie, Aaron Watson, Brian Desveaux (Nine Days), Luke Esterkyn (Stroke 9), Scott Terry (Red Wanting Blue), Brandon Kinder (The Rocket Boys), Joe Nichols, Frankie Ballard, Greg Bates, Aaron Tippin, Ty Herndon, Jana Kramer, Jimmy Wayne, Jon Pardi, and Steve Azar.

Kendra Chantelle

Kendra Chantelle is a soul with a vulnerable, positive message. Writing from the depths of her own experiences and singing from the guttural rock bottom of emotion sets her apart and allows for her unique expression. Kendra spent much of the last decade singing alongside some of the greatest artists in and around Nashville (Tom Keifer, Lindsay Ell, Zac Brown Band, Will Hoge, Lzzy Hale, STS9, Scooter Brown Band, Trigger Hippy, Cheap Trick, Kristian Bush and SO many more) and has cultivated her own sound piece by piece. Kendra has also served several years as a vocal coach focusing on breathwork and the holistic healing effects of sound, vocalization, breath, and more.
