"I’ve always loved the lilt that comes from a 5/4 feel, you can almost fall into that flowing waltz-like pattern – but it’s just a little offset. It’s not a time signature that I’m used to playing in. Writing and practicing “Broken Waltz” brought on new challenges, and opened up new approaches for me as both a composer and performer."
