Eddy Ruyter & Sherry Finzer - Patapan

Flutist Sherry Finzer and pianist Eddy Ruyter bring a contemporary instrumental spin to the classic French Christmas carol “Patapan.” Ruyter was first introduced to the song while sight-arranging holiday pieces during a solo piano performance back in 2022. He instantly fell in love with its haunting melodies and dark chords. The lyrics of the song talk of flute and drums, so how better to approach a new version than by adding in percussive elements and the beautiful flute stylings of Finzer.
